What the role involves:
As a Registered Manager, you’ll lead the overall running, performance, and strategic development of the service, ensuring safe, effective, and high-quality care delivery.
This includes:
- Leading the day-to-day running of the home and overall service performance
- Managing and developing Deputy Managers, Team Leaders, and Support Workers
- Ensuring high standards of person-centred care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance
- Overseeing care plans, risk assessments, audits, medication systems, and documentation
- Managing budgets, petty cash, financial oversight, and value for money
- Creating rotas and ensuring safe staffing levels that meet service needs
- Leading recruitment, onboarding, appraisals, supervisions, and performance management
- Managing incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns, and regulatory notifications
- Working closely with families, local authorities, CQC, commissioners, and external professionals
- Driving quality assurance, KPI performance, audits, and continuous service improvement
- Leading team meetings, staff engagement, and service development initiatives
- Supporting transitions, new admissions, and community integration outcomes
- Maintaining strong oversight of health & safety, environmental, and medication compliance
- Taking on-call responsibility and leading emergency response when required
Working pattern
This is a full-time leadership role, working Monday to Friday, combining operational oversight, leadership responsibilities, and visibility within the service.
Flexibility is essential, and the role may include some evenings, weekends and on-call responsibilities where required.
What we’re looking for
We welcome applications from experienced Registered Managers, strong Deputy Managers ready to step up, or proven care leaders with multi-level leadership experience.

- Experience supporting adults with complex needs in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding, and compliance
- Experience managing teams, rotas, budgets, and service performance
- Confidence leading audits, KPI delivery, and quality improvement
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- A calm, resilient, and person-centred management style
- A genuine passion for developing people and improving lives
- A level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is highly desirable, although development support is available for the right candidate.
